Work Item History reporting differences

Jackie Albert (1.6k14947) | asked Aug 28 '17, 1:52 p.m.

In Report Builder 6.0.4,  you can now get to 'Work Item History' and 'Work Item State History' from the Current Data section,  but there's also still the option of 'Custom Trends for Work Items' and 'Custom Trends for Work Item Status' under the Historical Trends section.

What's the difference and why would I want to use one over the other?  Are they functionally equivalent?

Hi Jackie,

The differences are mentioned in the below link:
"You can pick either Current Data (same as existing flow) or the new Historical Trends report type, which has, instead of the traceability section, a section where you set the time range for the trend you are measuring"

Bharath,
That link is accurate for 6.0.1,  but with 6.0.4 the 'Work Item History' and 'Work Item State History' also now appear under Current Data too.
