Custom value for sections in DNG

I have added section column to module. It gives me section value as 0-1, 0-2 and so on for artifacts of module. If i create parent and child relationship between artifacts and demote the child artifact it gives me value of section as 0-3 for parent and 0-3.0-1 for child.
I want to give section value as 3 for parent and 3.1 for child artifact. Can I modify section values accordingly. Also I can not edit value of section for every single artifact therefore if these values can be provided automatically it would solve our purpose.
Can I do this kind of customization in DNG?
Or is there any way to achieve this kind of customization in DNG?
