How to update custom report automatically if the report was generated by Cognos in RTC?

 Hi Someone who may concern,

I've created a few reports in Cognos that I have imported as Custom Report Resources into RTC. I am able to use the Custom Report widget to display these resources. However, after I updated the reports query condition in Cognos ( I have confirmed the result is different after my update  when running in Cognos context), the Custom Report widget still show the old data, i.e. my update can not be synced up with Custom Report widget automatically.

Is this expected? i.e. every time I update my report in Cognos, I have to create new custom report resource again? and update widget to use this new resource?
Or I need to do something, such as enable this option to make it sync up automatically?

             Thanks!

Best Regards,
Jane

Hi Jane,

I think this is not an intended behavior. According to the link below, "you import the report resource, that resource is linked to the original report definition on the report server and it is also linked to any reports that are created from it".

Maybe you created a report view, and showing last saved report, instead of running report?
