Do changes to MANIFEST.MF file get overidden when DNG is upgraded?

I would like to add a reporting template to DNG.
As explained here: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RRCCreatingModuleRRDGReportsfromtheAPI

it involves copying the .dta file to a directory in in the installation path, and editing the /server/conf/rm/reporting/initialization/META-INF/MANIFEST.MF file. My question is, after upgrading DNG to a new version, will we have to repeat this process? Will the .dta file and the updated MENIFEST.MF file be overridden or preserved?

Hi Tali

The upgrade will overwrite the whole reporting part. You will need to redistribute your DTA and do the changes in the MANIFEST

Erwin, thank you for your reply. I was hoping someone will tell me it is kept.. That is why the IT team is reluctant to allow such kind of customization.
