Question on work item category/reporting statistics

Susan Arnovick (1311613) | asked Sep 09 '09, 2:05 p.m.
Hi
In v1.0 I have a work item category I will call xyz. I have this category associated with two different lines of development, PT1 and PT2. I don't need this work item category anymore, but would still like to see the data statistics for PT1/xyz. If I remove the work item category xyz, will I still be able to view these statistics?

Thanks very much!

If you're referring to the historical data, as displayed in many of our

reports, that data will still be in the data warehouse and you'll be
able to create reports based on it. If you're referring to the Work Item
Statistics viewlet or something else in the dashboard, Curtis will be
able to provide an answer.

Since work item categories can only be archived, not deleted, existing work item queries and the work item statistics viewlet should continue to work.
