Hello Matthew,
We still do not support Smart Card on Linux.
The documentation was recently fixed by this enhancement request: https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=475835
The support for Linux was requested on these RFE's. Please kindly add your vote on them, to increase importance:
