Default text for summary
Hello,
I thought I will be able to find out a similar case like, but did not. So let me state what we want to achieve. For user story type of WI only we would like to pre-fill the summary field with a text "xxxxx" in order to help team to fill the summary by sticking a specific format. Could we have some guidelines on how to achieve that, Thank you, |

Since the summary attribute is reused in all work item types by default, using Default Value customization will make the default text to appear in all work item types, not only in Story.
The only way to achieve this would be to write your own script and use "Script Based Default" attribute customization. I was unable to find a sample script here in the forum that does this job. |
