Module and folder sync issue in DNG

Mahesh JS (17211) | asked Sep 01 '16, 12:50 a.m.
Module is a set of artifact in DNG as we know. But, it seems folder is also a set of artifacts and it's quite contradictory. Once we have a module why we need to have a folder again?
Please help me understand this by giving any example.

There is a concept called "module artifact" in RDNG, and it's the representation of a "base artifact" in a module. While a module is a collection of "module artifacts", the underlying "base artifacts" need to reside in some kind of structure, and that is "folder". Before the introduction of module in RDNG, Collection is the concept of a "collection" of (base) artifacts.
