hi,

I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 64bit with Eclipse Neon.

I installed the RTC plug-in (for version 5.0.1). I connected to my server.

I loaded one of the components to a folder I want my sandbox will sit.

but I can't see a folder of sandbox in the left menu. see below. why is that?

note that in the folder of my sandbox, the component folder was created (after loading) and I have a .jazz file next to the folder.

I also have this folder as a project in the CDT perspective.

currently it is empty project and empty component. I want to create a new project that will sit inside the component folder. any suggestion?

In standard Eclipse views, you see loaded projects, not sandboxes.   To find out where your RTC sandboxes are, you can go to Preferences and look in the Sandbox section.   I haven't used CDT myself, so perhaps you are talking about a view introduced by CDT?   In particular, you say "the CDT perspective" ... which view in the CDT perspective are you looking at?
