Using RFT v8 to test RTC 2.0

Gonzalo Soto (961159) | asked Aug 20 '09, 1:23 p.m.
I want to use RFT v8 to do some testing on both Web and Eclipse RTC 2.0 clients.
I am having some problems when using data driven commands to drag&drop the hand into the field. Fields are not being recognized.
See screenshots for more details.

Although some combo-box are recognized, I can't do the same with, for example, the Description or Summary text field.
In this case, the field seems to be recognized but again a data driven error appears, see screen 2 also:

I tried with Firefox 3.5.2 and IE7.
I am actually getting an error when enabling Firefox on RFT Test Environments.

IE7 is enabled, but the Test result Failure. I already followed the steps (regsvr32 RTXIEEnabled.dll blabla)

I am using java 1.6.0_13 and will try going back to 1.6.0_5

Is there any other configuration that must be done in order to make this work?

Thanks in advance.

Problem fixed. The Test Environment wasn't configured correctly and the browser was failing the Test.

1-Update to latest java re. Some people say that jdk-6u5 is more stable than the latest one...

2-Take a look at these technotes:

3-Configure the RFT Test Environment and be sure Test is: Passed!

Bye!
