After performing an update to the latest patches on our Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.8 (Santiago) we noticed that the Xvfb server was no longer working properly and wasn't rendering graphical artifacts to Rational Requirements Composer (Rational DOORS Next Generation).  Research was performed trying to determine what was changed between versions.  After thorough research and testing it was determined that the default for Xvfb is to no longer listen for TCP connections.  By adding the -listen tcp flag to the command, the Xvfb acts like it did before the upgrade.  Red Hat RPM package where this error occurred:  xorg-x11-server-Xvfb-1.17.4-9.el6.x86_64.  Prior Version:  xorg-x11-server-Xvfb-1.15.0-36.el6.x86_64

  • Rational DOORS Next Generation    5.x
  • Rational DOORS Next Generation    6.x
