CQ Connector to different schemas

James Leone (13613513) | asked Aug 13 '09, 4:54 p.m.
We currently have several CQ schemas which are used by different groups within our company. The process of moving a CQ record from one schema to the other is currently manual and typically results in data loss since not all fields in one schema are in the other.

The CQ Connector documentation implies that multiple different Jazz "islands" can be connected to the same CQ Schema with the CQ Connector. Can you confirm this?

More importantly, is it possible to have an RTC project that is synchronizing work items from multiple CQ schemas?

Yes. The "island" scenario is to connect one cq db to mutiple RTC project areas which can be distributed among different RTC servers.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work the "other way around". The project areas of one RTC server can only synchronize with one cq db. You could set up different connectors for different RTC servers, but there is no support for one project area to sync with more than one cq db.
