Can a NAS (Network Attached Storage) device be used as RQM shared location?

Is there any limitation or special settings?  So far, we know that:

1) It works when a folder from another server is shared, but it does NOT work when the files are stored in a NAS device.
2) It is possible to access the NAS device shared folder using the UNC path from the RQM server (windows > explorer)
3) When you test this UNC path from RQM (GUI) > in Shared Resource Locations, we get "The shared resource is accessible to QM server"
4) However when you Browse - the shared test resources you see the message: "null"

Although this is not documented (https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/topic/com.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc/topics/t_make_external_available.html), it should work given #2 and #3.  Please open a RQM defect.
