RQM 6.0.2: Can we link multiple test steps to test case and not have a test script?

Neeta Valera (45643) | asked May 11 '16, 1:00 p.m.
Hello,
My test plan has test cases and each test case has test steps. There is no test script. Can I create test steps and link them to test cases without a test script?
Thanks.

Hi, Neeta

It is not clear what your test step looks like and where it is located(you wan to link them to a test case).
Usually manual script has the test steps and it is associated with a test case within a test plan.

Test Case does not really needs a test script though. it depends on what your test steps are like and where it is. You can create a quality task work item if you have RTC associated with RQM from some sections such as 'Test Description', 'Notes' etc and your test steps can be in the work item. You can add rich text as your test steps within those sections as well. Although those sections may not be served as what it is designed to have, from the usage point of view, it could meet your needs.

Thanks
