Java Error with RTC 2 and WAS 6

marco Kaiser (2311313) | asked Aug 12 '09, 4:50 a.m.
Hi IBM Jazz team,

Me and an collegue did set up Jazz with the following settings:
Server: Windows 2000 Server 32bit
RTC 2.0 Enterprise Edition
Webspehere Application Server 6.1.0.25
JVM 6.0.150
Jave Runtime Enviroment SE v.1.4.2_10

I didn't install the Update pwi3260sr2-20080818_01 SR2, since that was for WAs 7.0 on JVM 5

I've following problem: When I start RTC I get the following error message:

java.lang.RuntimeException: Unsupported JVM, please upgrade
at com.ibm.team.scm.service.internal.content.VersionedContentService.checkVM(VersionedContentService.java:151)
at com.ibm.team.scm.service.internal.content.VersionedContentService.<init>(VersionedContentService.java:230)
at java.lang.Class.newInstanceImpl(Native Method)
at java.lang.Class.newInstance(Class.java:1328)
at org.eclipse.core.internal.registry.osgi.RegistryStrategyOSGI.createExecutableExtension(RegistryStrategyOSGI.java:170)
... 63 more

My question is: What could be the problem or do I need to install on of the fixes?

Thanks for your Help!

Kind regards

Marco Kaiser

Check jazz.net with the error
make sure you find the work item that explains the problem.
If you cannot find it, let me know how you searched

Was it this one?

You have to have a JCL newer than Nov 11/08. I have asked which JCL is being referenced.

The information you provided shows: Jave Runtime Enviroment SE v.1.4.2_10
which is not supported.

Please refer to
