Transferring test execution records from RQM to local database

Sushma Jain (1112) | asked Mar 14 '16, 9:22 a.m.
 Hi,

I am executing approximately 1000 test cases manually through RQM. However, we are displaying test case execution results for automated and manual tests through a local webpage by querying a local database server.

Can you please help me, how I can retrieve test case execution records from RQM and copy them into our local database server?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

I think I will make myself more clear this time.

Please note that I don't want to transfer the execution details from RQM using downloaded excel sheets. Because this would mean that execution details in my local database will not be updated unless I transfer those records using Excel downloads from RQM manually.

If you could please suggest how to use RQM database to fetch execution records which can update the tables in my local sql server automatically possibly whenever new execution records in RQM are available.

Please let me know if I was able to explain it more clearly now.

Thanks & regards,

Sushma

I'm not sure if I fully understood your question...

I think you can use the feature "download as spreadsheet":

Hi Sushma,

I don't know how to do, but I know it can be done using Rest API.

What do you plan to accomplish by "use RQM database to fetch execution records which can update the tables in my local sql server automatically".

For example, if it is for reporting, there are simpler ways to do it (for example by using rest api and macros or using custom reports in RPE or RRDI or JRS)
