What is the purpose and difference between WAS and WebLogic?
Hi,
Web Application Server (WAS) is IBM Product. Web Logic Server is Oracle product. Both are meant for deploying Java applications.
Can you share the differences between these servers, pros and cons, which one to be preferred in which kind of scenarios, etc?

If you simply Google "WebSphere vs WebLogic", you get heaps of references. One of them is this:

Obviously an IBM solution is always preferred.
In the context of this forum WebLogic is also irrelevant, because it is not supported as a runtime by the Jazz products.
