Plan Scope field not honored in plan view dashboard viewlet?

We have a project release plan which correctly subsets our data utilizing the Plan Scope field, using a filedAgainst:<category> expression.

When we use this plan in a dashboard plan view viewlet, we see all of the data, as if the Plan Scope field is not being honored.

We're on RTC 6.0. Is this expected behavior? Thanks.

Anyone know whether Plan Scope is supposed to work in plans in dashboards?
