Hi Bharat,

My team has managed some projects from MKS to RTC, some very large scale. There is no real "standard procedure" to do so as each customer is different and the actions must be adapted every time.
What I can tell you is:  the source migration from MKS to the RTC repository is relatively easy as you can create a main stream for the main repository level, and "Sub" streams for ongoing projects. What is more difficult is to fully automate the compilations (Build feature) and deployment (Release Management) which is where we helped most.

I've found an older post for a similar scenario:
https://jazz.net/forum/questions/50746/source-migration-from-mks-to-rtc

that suggests you migrate from MKS->Subversion->RTC

There is some documentation available that details the migration from Subversion->RTC here:
https://jazz.net/library/article/650
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSCP65_3.0.0/com.ibm.team.scm.svn.doc/topics/c_intro.html

hope this helps!

Thanks Catherine for your reply.

Is there any way to migrate MKS to RTC directly or we have to migrate MKS to Subversion and Subversion to RTC?

What kind of source/developpement you are asking : IBMi or other platform ?
I think the effort to go to SVN then SVN to RTC is more painfull that doing MKS to RTC direct (maybe less automated, but with few task). In both case you will have to pass by the file system so I advice to take the direct way.

Thanks Michel for reply.

Source / development is IBMi

If possible, could you please share if any direct way to migrate from MKS to RTC?

MKS on IBMi Store directly sources on the file system. So the way is, for me, to use iProject fullfilled thru the "Import to iProject" function into RDi.
if you have many // developpement projects, it is possible to automate with "RTC Repotools" the creation of RTC structurs elements like streams (usable thru command line in QSH, into the directory of the Builds engine, but it require some knowledge on Repotools).
did you already used RTC including Build engines on the IBMi ?
