DOORS NG artifact format appears to not be searchable. Is this a bug?

Doors NG 6.0 include the new artifact format diagram (to replace plugin based graphics), which is great.  However, it appears that any text typed in the diagram is non-searchable.  This is obviously not the desired end-state.  The search feature should support the ability to search.  Does anyone know if this is corrected in the 6.0.1 MS releases?

I think it's probably a bug, but not sure.  I opened this work item: text in diagrams not included in quick search (100902)

Here is the response from development (via work item 100902):

There is a story for this in the product backlog.  See As a user, I should be able to search on text in a diagram (90550).  A release note about this limitation was also published for 6.0.  See comment 9 in work item 90550.

Here's the direct link to the limitation:

As the diagram elements can be linked to artifacts, would that be a usable workaround at least in the short term?
