Finding file path on workspace?

I am trying to update a file and deliver this change. I can do it on Eclipse by creating a workspace, writing on a file using FileWriter on java, to which I give the local file path on my Eclipse workspace. I then check in the changes and deliver, and this all works fine.

However, I want to be able to do this on a remote server without Eclipse, just running the java. In this case, I would assume creating a workspace, checking in changes and delivering being the same as on my local system, but I am having trouble finding the correct file path to give to the FileWriter in this situation. I know the file path within the stream, which I have also created the workspace of, however, how do I find the whole file path to give to the FileWriter on this remote system for it to find my file?

file path on local Eclipse: /home/name/workspace/folder/file
file path on server: ???/?mystream?/folder/file

See

for some code using that API. The second post uses the path in the zip file and identifies the path in the component by going up to the component and then finding (or creating) the folders in the component.
