How to include RTC Viewlets in RQM Dashboard Template?

Rophy Tsai (231017) | asked Sep 26 '15, 10:03 p.m.
 I want to include Defect viewlets in RQM Dashboard Template, currently defects means the viewlets should come from connected RTC.

According to this old thread, one cannot add remote viewlets in dashboard template.

So....
  1. as of CLM 6.0, is it still not possible to add remote viewlets in dashboard template?
  2. if not, is it possible to add any defect-related viewlets in RQM dashboard template?
  3. May be I can develop my own RQM viewlet which displays RTC defects, with RTC project name as a configurable preference? If so, any links for getting started with custom viewlet development?

Hi Rophy, yes cross application widgets (viewlets are now called widgets post 4.x version of CLM) are supported in 6.0.

Document at Adding widget from another application should serve as a good reference.

Let me know if that helps!

Best Regards
Sunil

 I am attempting to do this myself, however the viewlet will not show.

In a given template column I have the following viewlet setup:
<viewlet background="true" id="com.ibm.rdm.web.viewlet.MyReviews" title="Requirement Reviews" trim="blue"/>

When creating a dashboard from this template the viewlet does not show at all (no errors on the dashboard, no viewlet in the column where it is supposed to be). Is there another parameter (property or memento) that I need to add to this?
