Generating execution reports based on each Test script level added to TestCases in RQM

Can we generate an execution report which reports on each of the test script level which are added to the test case in RQM.

For example:  Test Case -1  contains 5 Test scripts

When you generate the TCER record, it should also generate the execution records for each of the 5 Test scripts added to this Test Case.

Hi Rajesh,

The TCER records are linked to a default Test Script.  That information is stored in the DW if you want to generate a new report using that information.

The second part of your question talks about generating TCER's for each Test Script, that would imply a change in the current process to generate TCER's.  Is that what your question is about? Changing the current generation of TCER's?

Thanks,
Clara

Thanks Clara.
Yes, the execution record should be generated considering all the 5 Test scripts, so that when the TCER record is viewed it should display the execution data of each of these scripts.

Hi Rajesh,

I think generally test case is for what to test and test script is for how to test.  There may be more than one way (multiple test scripts) to test and usually the test environment would determine which way to test.  An example will be a test case to test log in and the test scripts will be command line log in and log in through window prompt.  Generating TCER's for the test case with Linux and MacOS test environments will use the test scripts respectively.  We don't generate TCER's based on the test scripts.  Are the 5 test scripts in the test case mentioned more then just different way to test the test case?
