Facing permission issue while deliver through RAD

mohan chandar (611) | asked Jul 14 '09, 6:14 p.m.
Facing permission issue while delivering code through RAD. I was assigned to Developer role which has permission to check in/change, etc... Not sure why it is throwing below error...
Any help/suggestions, greatly appreciated...

Problem
You don't have permission to Deliver .

Reason
In order to carry out this operation, you would need permission to perform the following additional actions:
Action: Id:
Deliver change sets modify/stream/deliver/changesets

Below message was shown under "Why did this happen?" link ::

Operation Overview
Name:Deliver
Id:com.ibm.team.scm.server.deliver
This is a team operation, which may be configured in the team-configuration section of the process specification. It may be customized in team area customizations.
The operation was run in the context of the Build Team team area.
Behavior
There were no preconditions or follow-up actions run for this operation.
Permissions
This operation was not run because it required the following actions:
modify/stream/deliver/changesets

Deliver change sets

Check what role your ID has then check the 'Deliver change sets' permission
in the project area
Notice that if it is modified in the team area, it takes precedence to the
project area

Perhaps you are not a Team Member of that Project Area or Team Area?
Depending in your process configuration, it is not enough to have
assigned a Developer Client Access License.

Hope this helps,

Chemi.

I have been working with him on this. He is definitely a Team Member of the Team Area.

We do have a process customization for this team area. I have tried giving the Source Control -> Deliver (server) permission to the following roles in the team area...

Everyone
team-member
Developer
Build

I have done this at the top level Permissions in the team area, and in the Permissions of Iteration in which the work is being done. I have not done this in the Permissions of the Iteration Type -- that remains undefined.

Little help?
Brian

ummm
PA (project Area) permission and TA (team area) permission may override
each other...
Does the PA permission conflicts with the TA one for SCM ?

:(

Can you please confirm whether you granted these permissions in the
"Build Team" team area?

The root cause was that the user had two profiles setup. Due to case-sensitivity "Mohan" != "mohan" in RTC. We deleted the duplicate entry and everything worked beautifully. Thanks,
Brian
