Optimal Database Datasheet

Leesen Padayachee (9962120) | asked Jul 09 '15, 6:21 a.m.
 Hi

My cleint currently has CLM 5.0.2 with MS SQL 2012 as their database. They plan to move this DB to be supported by the IT department. They want to know the requirements for an optimal DB performance, what type of environments this DB should be on etc. Is there any documentation with regards to DB performance for Jazz?

Thanks

Leesen

Optimal with respect to what? What metric? We provide hints here: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/PerformanceWhereToStart .

Do you have any performance criteria for the database that is recommended by IBM in order to have an optimal user experience? The client is working on an SLA with their IT department and one of the items that they need to specify is the required performance of the database (since IT will be providing the infrastructure for the database in future). They currently use a local DB with MS SQL 2012, but they want this to be hosted and maintained by their IT Dept.

During a performance health check on Jazz, Database Latency is sitting on red (Avg 6 ms). The client would like to rectify this.
