Traceability for CR from RRC Report

Naveen V (791759) | asked Jun 20 '15, 10:40 a.m.
Hi,

I am looking to create the report for traceability for change requests artifacts in RRC.

Traceability should follow the following model (Change Request -> System Requirement -> Preliminary System Design (PSD) -> Detailed System Design (DSD) -> Development Request (in RTC)

Development requests will be either Satisfied by or implemented by.

Where I can find the data from our jazz out-of-the-box package to pull the tables for above report?

Thanks

It appears that you are talking about two things.

RRC/RDNG does not enforce link types based on artifact types. So you can only report the traceability, but not control it.

For reporting, you can either view it using the Link Explorer in the Web Client, or using Reportable REST API to generate your own reports.

Hello Naveen,

assuming from the tags you are building an Insight/RRDI report, you can find the necessary relations in the following items:
  • Operational Data Store > Requirement Area > Requirement Related Requirements (for links between requirements)
  • Operational Data Store > Requirement Area > Requirement Related Requests (for links between requirements and work items, if you use the requirement as your base item)
  • Operational Data Store > Request Area > Request Related Requirements (for links between requirements and work items, if you use the the work items as your base item)

Note:

  • if you need to filter on a specific type of link you can use the Link Type field.
  • if you need to filter on a specific type of Requirement or Work Item you can use the Requirement Type / Request Type field.

Best Regards,

Francesco Chiossi
