How to track the reason of a modification in a Rational Doors object?

Diego Rodriguez (1144) | asked Jun 01 '15, 3:24 p.m.
 Hello,

I would like to know if there is any possibility to track the reason of a change in DOORS 9.5. I have checked the History function but it only focus on who, when and what change was produced but never why.

Is it maiby possible to add the reason to the history? Any other idea?

Thanks

 Hello Diego,

All DOORS (traditional) users are entitled to use change management features of RTC, without additional license cost. Using the DOORS x RTC integration, it would be possible to customize a RCR (requirements change request) work item with a "modification reason" mandatory attribute thus forcing the user proposing a change to provide a reason. Other customizations would also be possible, using the flexibility of RTC, including custom work item states, team roles and workflows.

Hope this helps.
