How to create dependent enumeration as attribute type in DNG?

Shuchita Tripathi (31436294) | asked May 15 '15, 8:33 a.m.
Hi,

We have to create few attributes of type enumeration in DNG. The enumerations are dependent i.e. based on the value of first enumeration, second enumeration should populate limited set of values.

How can we achieve this in DNG?

To be sure I understand your question: at runtime when editing an artifact, the values available to select from for the second enumeration attribute are limited based on the value chosen for the first enumeration attribute?
If that is the question, the answer is that DNG does not support such functionality right now.

If you feel DNG should have this functionality, feel free to put in a request for enhancement, which you can do here: IBM Software RFE Community
Make sure you describe your use case in sufficient detail. For example what to do if the first enumeration does not have a default value, and at runtime no value is selected for the first enumeration attribute for the artifact under edit.
