How can I request a new data snapshot be generated?
How can I request a new data snapshot be generated so the Burndown work
item report has up-to-date data? It looks like this generally runs as a scheduled service that generally runs just after midnight. Thanks, Brian |

Click on the "Administer Data Warehouse" link in the left navigation panel. From there you can kick the various snapshots whenever you like. What version of RTC are you running? We've added a live data point to the burndown report (as the last point in the chart) so that you always have an up-to-date view of the report without manually running the snapshot before every scrum meeting. This change is in 2.0, I'll have to check whether it's in 1.0.1.1 or not. james RTC Reports Team Lead |
We're using 1.0.1.1. I had tried running first the WorkItem snapshot,
then all snapshots. Yet, after doing this and verifying the service had completed, a datapoint for the previous day was still not showing up. So I wondered if I was not requesting the thing. For burndown reports, is it the work item snapshot that should generate the data? Thanks, Brian |

You should also make sure you run the common snapshot afterwards (just to be sure) - it runs quite quickly. Could you open a work item in the Reports component so we could take a look? Please include a screenshot of the report (including the parameters) as well as a screenshot of your iteration hierarchy in the project area editor. Thanks, james RTC Reports Team Lead |
