It is possible that your Installation Manager had several install repositories selected and you got the latest version instead of the one you wanted. The install repository for 1.0.1.1 is:

https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-team-concert/1.0.1.1/GA/install-repository/standard

If you go to File -> Preferences... in the IM and make sure that repository is defined and is the only one selected then do you get a good install of the 1.0.1.1 client?

I just tried this now and was able to install the 1.0.1.1 client and connect to a 1.0.1.1 server. One bug you may see is that the splash screen on startup may show the wrong version, but Help -> About should correctly show the version as:

Version: 1.0.1.1
Build id: M20090225-1543

I have wasted about half of my working day becuase the version of RTC that I download from the jazz website (1.0.1.1) is NOT actually version 1.0.1.1!!! Simply by following the links in the Installation Manager you end up with Jazz Server 1.0.1.1 - OK, but you then end up with RTC client 2.0RC1. The RTC client installs OK but when you try to use the RTC client to connect to the server you are then presented with a "client/server version incompatibility error".

PLEASE RECTIFY THIS SO THAT OTHERS ARE NOT ALSO SUCKERED BY THIS REALLY ANNOYING MISTAKE!!!! :x
