Add Attachment to newly created WorkItem not possible (5.0.1 / 5.0.2)

After creating a WorkItem (in ProjectArea with "Formal Process") I tried to add an Attachment to this WI. This isn't possible (error message in DropIn field)

User has all roles in ProjectArea. (Create new ProjectArea with "Formal Process", add user, give all roles to user)

It looks like this happens only with "Formal Process"

It also seems so that this happens only for new WorkItems. For WI older
then 1 day (or some hours) it is working

Bug or feature?

Have you tried a different browser? Is there an error message showing up on the top? Is this for all type of attachments? E.g. have you tried test, pdf?

PS: I have not seen this in my setups.

I take this back, I see this with 5.2. And the solution is to give any of the roles the permission to save an attachment, as none of the roles have this configured as allowed in the Formal Process Template at least.

Hello Ralph,

yes, with this permission it is working but:

1) The "help" for this permission says: The Save Attachment operation is executed whenever an attachment is saved in the repository without a work item in context.
And I assume that we are in a work item context
And if this permission would be necessary, for what is the following permission (which is on for all users):

Save WorkItem -> Modify the WorkItem -> Modify the WI links -> Modify the WI attachments -> Add an attachment

2) In our own productive environment with formal process the "Save Attachment" is off for all users (except Admin). And it possible to add attachments to WI. Only (sometimes) it isn't possible to add attachments to newly created WI, one day later it is possible.

In this case you should probably open a PMR. You could try to look into the server logs, but I think this is likely not possible to solve in the forum.
