server not found usually says there is a networking issue..
proxy server, or needing vpn to connect, or a router somewhere..
next time you have this problem, go to the command prompt and type
nslookup ????
where ???? is your server name
as an example, we had a problem were one of my servers was powered off unexpectedly. after 8 hours, the DNS servers automatically deregister names for virtual machine hosts (my server). so I came to work on Monday, and my server was no longer defined to the network!!.. after running for over 6 months.
