How can I make a custom attribute of an artifact type as a required field in RRC ?

In RRC/RDNG, only "type" and "format" are required.

Chubala,

RRC/RDNG does not support mandatory/requried attribute values in version 3, 4 and 5. The best you can do is give it an initial value at creation, which is set at the artifact attributes tab in the manage project properties page.

This is the link to the enhancement work item for mandatory attributes, if you want to track it or chime in.

I have already tried setting an initial value and that doesn't seem to work at all. When the artifact is created, the initial value of the attribute is blank. My attribute is Enumeration Type with three values - 'Not Assessed', 'Yes', 'No' and I set 'Not Assessed' as the initial value.
I added my vote in the enhancement work item, any idea when this might be available?
