How to check Floating License usage?

A customer needs to know how effectively they are using RTC floating licenses so they consider to buy new licenses. Is there another way to get the usage knowledge and trend-like view of floating licenses besides of retrieving the data from floating license log file.

Did your customer already try to use the license reporting capabilities of the JTS (Jazz Team Server Administration > Jazz Team Server Home > Server > Licensing > Report). From there you will get graphical reports for License Usage, License Denials, and License Usage Comparision for a given period of time. Maybe this approach is preferable to analysing the plain floating license log files?

Thanks. I did not know there is an internal solution for this issue.

how about regular license usage ?  are there reports for that tehse types of logons as well?

what about RQM license usage ?

and DNG/RRC license usage

Since the report is called "Floating License Usage" you can only create reports for floating licenses. Here you are able to create reports of any installed floating or token license type, including RQM, RM, CCM, etc.

As for regular licenses, the only option I know of is to check the server license log file, if you switched license logging on.

Hi Murat,

There is Floating License Usage report available:
https://your-server/jts/admin#action=com.ibm.team.repository.admin.floatingLicenseReports

It is also described here: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/blogs/nfrsblog/entry/floating_license_usage_report_on_jazz_team_server1?lang=en

Please let us know if this is what you were already looking for.
