RTC - roll up efforts of children to parent (balance effort)

Hi

I have a requirement to roll up efforts of children to parent (balance effort).

For e.g. I have a Parent work Item called TESTING-TASK with an estimate of 32 hrs

Two Child TASKS

TASK 1 - Estimate of 8 hrs
TASK 2 - Estimate of 24 hrs

Now when I close child TASK 1 the Parent task should show a balance of 24 hrs. Is there a way to do it or a script to achieve the above.

If the tasks are planned for the same iteration, I think the planning component should give you that.

The planning component does not give me the view which I need. I need the parent task to have the balance effort if the child tasks are completed.
