Hi Samuel,

Which is the database do you have with RTC 5.0? Was it working with Previous version ? did you upgraded from older version?
Did you check-in the file and do you have files listed under unresolved folder.

Provide us the complete error message.

Regards,
AArun.

If you have upgraded from a previous version: Did you perform the steps described in this article?

Which client are you using?

cannot post long comment, see my answer for the log details.

DB is  Apache Derby, I did not check in so many files when I use RTC4.0.6, I did not upgrade, just installed RTC5,  I checked in the files, in the browser admin console, I can see the files in the workspace in server side although the returned status of the client command is not good, there is no error message, no log, some times it hanged,
I am using RTC5.0 command client.

the error in ccm.log:

I think you should check your workspace or the stream if it was created from one. It looks like your component "_G3Ix4hHhEeSrvNnLbnDZNQ" can't resolve because you don't have access. You can confirm with your RTC admin. The admin account should be able to see if you have components in your workspace where you don't have access to it.

In the meantime, you should try to deliver the outgoing changes explicitly by specifying them as part of your command.

reinstalled RTC server and repository,
when I tried to check the status, got out-of-memory error,  there are 20,000 new files in my sandbox, don't understand how it can get memory error by only checking the status,
there are 8GB memory in my machine.

:\dataRTCUser1\RTCComponent>lscm status >..\log.txt

got error while checking in files, the RTC server was re-installed, and repository was re-created, the user has access right to the workspace and stream.

You are dealing with a large number of files. Even though you have 8GB of RAM, not all of it is allocated to running 'scm'. You should check your eclipse.ini file for the CLI and see how much memory you've allocated to it. You should also divide your checkins into smaller chunks so that it can be easier for RTC to process.

thanks, after increasing the maximum memory size, it is much better,  but if I do not log out,  then it has memory problem again. for example, after I check in files, then check the status, it hangs. but  it is fast to check the status if I log out and login again.
