Create a snapshot automatically (via API or command line)

The question is: how can I create a snapshot automatically from a Continuous Integration system? We are creating automatically a snapshot of the code in RTC and we would like to create a snapshot at the same time of the related models.

Is there any API or command line to do this in RDM?
Searching the docs (4.0.6 and 5.0) I haven't found anything similar...
