Only a User with the Jazz Admin repository role can delete a work item comment using the Eclipse client :

Comments whoooops. seems my answer above was not correct. Thanks Dinesh ![]() FORUM ADMINISTRATOR / FORUM MODERATOR / JAZZ DEVELOPER
Actually, your answer is correct ... the RFE Joseph references is for editing a comment, and that is not yet supported, but clearing a comment (removing the content, including from the work item history) is supported as you have described it. There is a comment entry left indicating the date, time, and user that created the original comment, but the text of the comment is completely gone.

In current RTC, there is no way to delete or modify a comment in workitem.
There is record in RFE community on this issue:
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=41371
And RFE workitem in jazz.net as well:
https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=288976
It is still under discussion. The original design was to keep all comments un-modifyable, or record purpose.
A potential change is to allow only "owner" to modify comments, for cover use case like, typo mistake, etc.
But I do not think there will be a function to delete comment, not for "owner" or RTC administrator.
