Failed to use newly created user account for authentication

I have created a new user and tried to log-in using the new user credentials. However, I do not succeed. Any help?


I have also observed that my team server setup contains the selection of user registry as LDAP. I'm not sure why it has been chosen as the default since I haven't configured my web server to use LDAP registry. So, I tried to switch back to the "tomcat user database" option but could not persist the change. I get the following error "An error occurred while saving the configuration properties. Please check your server log for more details". On my firebug console I find this "java.lang.IllegalStateException","errorMessage":"CRJAZ1132I

The configuration property \"com.ibm.team.server.configURL\" must point to local file to persist configuration

changes."

Worked with Vinay
We ran the validation tool, made sure the tomcat-user contain his user and that the database also contain the user.
The user can then access the Web realm.
We cannot modify the user preferences in the user management as Vinay is using the Jetty version inside RTC.
We are trying to find which configuration should one user to test authentication in RTC client.
Matt L stated we should ensure that *.webapp.webui plugin is included in the launch and not *webapp.bridge
Vinay checked but still no go

This seems to be linked to the fact we ar using jetty inside RTC and not a real standalone Tomcat.
Who did successfully manage to run a jetty server in RTC client to test Authentication and isUserInRole() ?

I find this on jazz.net regarding the discussion in context
When creating users in Jetty, the password used for all users is "password".

If you are using RTC 1.0 and want to enable changing user roles for newly created users in Jetty, you currently must enable the com.ibm.team.repository.service.tests plugin included in your launch configuration. (Note: This plugin is not enabled in the JazzServer-06-RTC10-Maximal.launch launch configuration.) If this plugin is missing then the user roles are read only in the web UI. See enhancement 59598 for discussion of a fix that will make this step unnecessary.
