How often is data updated if data caching is enabled?

When creating a report template, there's an option to enable Data Caching with that specific report. Just wondering how often data is refreshed (once an hour, twice an hour, etc).

The data is cached until one of the following happens:
- Parameters are changed for the report.
- The ETL has run.
- Server re-started.

There is no point of refreshing if the Parameters have not changed or the ETL has run as the data retrieved will be the same as before.

by default, etl is re-run once per day, right?
