Updating multiple work items at once

Alasdair Nottingham (611610) | asked Apr 01 '09, 8:35 a.m.
Hi,

Is it possible to do a mass update for multiple user stories at once? I need to change the Filed Against field for around 10 user stories and it would be nice to not have to open, change and save 10 times.

Thanks
Alasdair

Alasdair,

This is similar to the enhancement I raised recently around adding the same comment to multiple work items: https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=73545

You can add your supporting comments to that, it's been triaged to being post-2.0.

Alasdair,

I'm using the 2.0 Beta 1. And the feature is already there.

Create a query that displays the items you want to change. Ensure the
'Filed Against' column is in the 'Result Layout' tab of the work item
query editor. When you run the query select the items you want to change
and right click in the 'Filed Against' field. Select "Change Filed
Against ..."

Cheers,
Jeremy
