How to sum All Time Spent Hours?

I need to pars the history of each WI and to Filter the houres of the specific month and to sum up the hours. How can I do that? How can i run query on the RTC DB and to perform calculations like this one?

Well in this case I personally prefer using the cloud based hours tracking tool from Replicon that keeps track of the single hour spent in a particular task and manage them to add up to give up a generic result to the end user.
