create/copy Dashboard thru api?

 We have a pretty complex dashboard we have created for our new teams to start with.

we haven't found a way to replicate this in the process template.

anyone have any experience creating dashboards using the api? copy from one place, customize (team names, plans names...) and put into another project?

really like copy dashboard from project to project.

 Sam any traction on this?  We have tried looking into this a bit.  The one thing we'd really like to do is be able to update a project's dashboard adding new ui elements or at least add a new tab with a.  I think the only time a new project dashboard is created is during the project create.
