RTC multi-language installation

I have installed and configured RTC and RQM 4.0.5.
I selected no additional languages, i.e. it is an English-only installation.
It is a quite complex configuration, as I deployed  RTC and RQM on WAS, and then installed and configured IHS as a reverse proxy.
Now I have to add an additional language to this installation (via Installation Manager -> Modify installation).
Should I concern about backing up any configuration files, or is this a "safe" operation?

We had some users doing this and don't see any problems in particular(without doing backup and was done during server offline)

I performed this installation yesterday, and everything was OK
