Enabling Members-only project area read permissions

Adil Chahid (45524118) | asked Mar 19 '09, 2:12 p.m.
Hi all,

One of the features that captivates our interest for the next release is the fain grained security for accessing the artifacts in RTC 2.0.

In order to activate it we must set the following system property to true:
com.ibm.team.repository.readPermissionEnabled

We did try to enable it as a Java paramter -Dcom.ibm.team.repository.readPermissionEnabled=true and we also added it in the teamserver.properties but we never saw in the details the options covering the project visibility.
did we missed some steps to activate that feature?

Thanks,

Hi Adil,

My understanding is that the project level security is set via the Web UI.

I will check with the development to see how this system property should work.

Stay tuned.

Unfortunately this is not all fully working in the Beta 1 which was based on M2(a). The underlying support was all there but in Jazz Foundation in FM2 but not all of the RTC components had yet adopted. The adoption has been taking place during M3D1 and so it should show up in the RTC M3D1 milestone next week.
