Making work items invisible for certian users.

Hello Guys,

Is it possible to make certain work items ( of a particular type) invisible to certain users ?

We want to store some sensitive information using this appraoch.

Hi David,
There is access restriction function in RTC: https://jazz.net/library/article/554
Please let us know if it is already what you were looking for.
Another way is simply to create new project area with different restrictions and store workitems of given type there.

Thanks for you reply. Now i have decided to restrict access to certain work items based on the Restrict Work Item Access option in 'Work Item Categories" in RTC project area (Eclipse client). But for some reason, i am not able to check the option.

Do we need to enable it ? if so how ?

Hi Johnson,

I don't think so we can make invisible WI types for certain users.

You can restrict the WI type for creation and modifying it.
