Count artifacts per server

Hi fellows,

is there an easy way to get an overview, how many artifacts (RTC: stories, tasks..., RQM: testplans, testcases...) are stored per server/database.

I can walk through all project areas and count/calculate those artifacts, but a simpler way would be fine.

greetings georg.

Hi Georg,
If you have the server with RRDI/Insight integrated, then you can create simple report displaying the data you want to.

But my question is: what is the reason you want to calculate the data? Do you have any performance issue?

Hi Krzysztof,
Insight/RRDI isn't in place yet.

The reason for this question isn't a performance issue.
A marketing rep of IBM asked for some statistics (users, projects ...).
So i run through all project areas, instead of getting those facts from on side.

Hi Georg,

Would a query for all values of a WI Type do the trick?

and then use that query to populate the 'Work Item Statistics' widget as follows:

Hi John,
this will only work in one Project Area afaik.
greetings georg.

Hi Georg,

You are correct - it's not yet possible across multiple project areas (https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=84268).

Krzysztof's answer above about using a report is probably the best way forward.

John
