Is it possible to open two Visual Studio solutions in the same stream/sandbox?

We have a Visual Studio 2010 RTC 4.0.4 sandbox, derived from a single stream, that contains more than one Visual Studio solution.  Can we open two solutions, in two Visual Studio sessions, simultaneously?
I think that we have may have corrupted the sandbox by trying this (the source control metadata ... is missing parent information), and are now rebuilding the metadata.

Opening two solutions from the same sandbox in different Visual Studio instances should work. This might not have be cause of the sandbox corruption, but even after repair, if you repeatedly see this problem while working with multiple solutions, looking at the trace might tell us what went wrong.

Please file a bug against Rational Team Concert with detailed steps to reproduce and attach the trace logs from both Visual Studio instances.
