BIRT Report Designer not available?

Hello folks,

I need to create a custom BIRT Report template for one of our projects, I actualy found the following tutorial on the Jazz.net site that seemed promissing: https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/ReportsCreatingANewReport
The tutorial says to open the Report designer perspective in RTC through Windows --> Open perspective --> Report Designer, except that I do not have that perspective available, I do not even have the "show all" checkbox on the perspective window as mentioned in the tutorial. I tried using the RTC version 1.0.1 and 2.0, but the designer perspective simply doesn't show up or doesnt exist.

There must be something I missed, any advice is welcome.

Thanks

Did you install the Eclipse plugins listed in the pre-requisites of the article you pointed to? These are needed to use BIRT.

Dear mdundek,

if you do not have that perspective available, it probably means you did not install BIRT. Once you installed BIRT, you will be able to see the Report Design perspective...

Hope it helps!

Hello,

I did install the 3 plugins mentioned on the tutorial (coppied files in plugins and features folders), but still no report designer perspective. What is also strange is that the perspective chooser does not have the "show all" check box, shouldn't that be there?

Thanks
