Hello aianni,
I am not sure what you are trying to do. Are you trying to extend RTC or just trying to create a simple query? To create a workitem query in the tool (not programmatically) go to the Work Items/My Queries in the Team Artefacts view (just ome spot) Select create query and use a simple one to get started. the Iteration can be found in the planned for attribute you'd select on the Result Layout Tab of the query. https://jazz.net/learn/articles.jsp shows a good overview about the tools capabilities.
